Native Born Mentally Disabled U.S. Citizen Allegedly Deported By DHS

The L.A Sheriff's Department which had an agreement with DHS allegedly deported a native born mentally disabled U.S. Citizen to Mexico.  Click here to read the complaint.   This case illustrates why it is important that any immigration reform be practical and workable.

Any bill that increases the workload of DHS and other agencies it partners with without regard to whether they can efficiently and competently carry out their increased duties will probably make a bad situation worse, not better.  If an immigration bill imposes new requirements, no matter how logical they may be, that cannot realistically be carried out by the agencies charged with doing so, it only makes the law a trap for the unwary or the unlucky.
